Torn root-wood is very suitable as a biofilter material and is produced from various large indigenous tree stubs. Root-wood is supplied in the requested fraction, optimal for the air quantity, and the characteristics of the processed air. Often fitted as a combination of particles, or used as an airflow layer with a low density, underneath other biofilter materials. By using root-wood, we ensure maximisation of the lifespan of the biofilter. The fibre-like structure of the torn root-wood contributes to an optimal habitat for bacteria (biotope).
