Woodchips are made from the leftover of pruned/pollarded trees or wood waste. The remains are then fragmented by means of a wood scredder. Woodchips may be used to generate energy or heat along on, for example, for biomass.

Additionally woodchips can be used for pad covering or to prevent the growth of weeds.
