Reconstruction Singelring-oost Roermond

Reconstruction Singelring-oost Roermond

In 2014, Den Ouden reconstructed one of the main roads in the centre of Roermond. The project covered an area of about 1 kilometre in length, stretching from the Willem II Singel to the Wilhelminaplein, including several junctions and the station square. The entire infrastructure was renewed, including the sewer system, street lighting, traffic lights and trees. Some additional construction work was done to nearby junctions, such as the renewal of traffic lights on the Zwartbroekplein and the junction Kapellerpoort-Kapellerlaan. Until December 14th, the road was used by single way public bus services (exploited by Veolia).

The official reopening took place on January 27th, 2015. City Council member Raja Fick-Moussaoui stated: “We hired an excellent contractor who successfully finished this major project.”
